Our Team

David Peoples

David Peoples:
David’s heritage was rural properties, beginning at the famous “NOCKATUNGA” in the channel country.  His family managed and owned large rural holdings throughout western Queensland.  They also diversified into pubs and owned the Thargomindah Hotel, Mt Pleasant Hotel (Gympie) and in the latter part, the Aramac Hotel.  David also has a love for rugby league and this passion took him to Perth in 1989 as a paid player.  He also spent time as a bookmaker, fielding at a lot of the country race meetings including the “Birdsville” carnival.  He took his father’s team over in 2000 when he became ill and continued on with his father’s astute team and success with many country cups and series races.
Kristie Clark-Peoples Kristie Clark-Peoples:
Kristie has grown up in the racing industry.  Her father was a jockey and then later became a leading Trainer in central western Queensland.  Life was horses growing up and Kristie competed in various disciplines around the Longreach area.  Riding trackwork came as early as thirteen when she prepared a horse called “STOUT” for the Arrilalah Picnic Race Meeting.  Kristie has also competed in various other equine disciplines such as Showjumping and Dressage.  International experience was gained in 1990 when Kristie spent 12 months in the United States as an exchange student and spent time touring the famous blue grass country of Kentucky.  In 2003 she was fortunate enough to spend time at Chantilly in France - the largest thoroughbred training centre in the world.
Gino Teserio (Barn Foreman) Gino Teserio (Barn Foreman):
Gino Teserio has been working with thoroughbreds for 20 years.  His experience was gained working for Trainer Bruce McLachlan at “Thornhill Park”, Caboolture.  Gino enjoyed the success of stable during that time with many of “his” horses winning Group and Listed races.  Gino’s love for the horses is evident in his work, he treats them like his best mates.  You will often find Gino at the races if we have starters and he also manages the wash bay duties, daily horse maintenance and paddock rotation.  We would be lost without Gino!

Steph Cameron

Steph Cameron:
Steph has had a successful show career and has bought this experience to our team which has been greatly utilised - especially with the sale horses.  Steph's role is very important to the running of the barn in the morning as she co-ordinates the work pattern and ensures the boys are kept in line:)

Kerryn Kildey

Kerryn Kildey:Kerryn joined our team in late October and David and I consider ourselves very lucky to have secured such a good Foreperson!  Kerryn has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Animal Studies and numerous other certificates to her credit.  Just before starting work with us Kerryn worked on a cattle station in North-West Queensland so hard work isn't foreign to her!  She has just enjoyed a holiday in the United States and decided to come home for a while as her family are based here.  Kerryn's brother Shaun works for Stanley River Thoroughbreds so the love for horses must run in the family.
